Treat them with indifference: focus on the dream

You can't beat me

Sometimes when you’re following your dreams you just have to turn down the volume on people who would see you fail.  Their need to see others do badly is not an assessment of you or your capabilities.  It’s an assessment of them.

It’s about how they see themselves.  You might not agree at first.  They may seem arrogant and self-assured but trust me, when people are confident about their own lives and their own capabilities, that projects out of them as happiness, kindness and the need to see others do well too.  If someone enjoys seeing others struggle, then it’s because they fear that person being better than they are.  They see your success as a mirror to reflect their failures.

Follow your dreams and be kind along the journey.

Every day you have to remind yourself that what you put into the world will eventually come back to you.  And whilst we can’t stop the bad minded minority who strive to infect everyone else with their anger and insecurity, we can choose to behave better than them.  We can choose to be kind in spite of them.

Your success is inevitable if you follow your dreams for the right reasons.

The difficult part is to have faith and to hold that faith in the face of adversity.  But you have to visualise your success and believe it will happen.  Go out there and make your life everything you ever dreamed it could be.  Because ultimately there’s no better revenge than to be happy.

But remember that you don’t need to ‘show’ you’re happy.  You just need to ‘be’ happy.  People will see effort as unnatural, and anyway, you don’t need to prove anything to anyone.  You don’t need other peoples validation, only you can say what it is for you to be happy.

Relax, have fun, and don’t listen to negativity.

Life is too short.
